Gênesis 46— comparação

1Israel partiu com tudo o que tinha, chegou a Berseba e ofereceu sacrifícios ao Deus de seu pai, Isaque.

2Deus falou a Israel em visões de noite, e disse: “Jacó, Jacó!”

3Ele disse: “Eu sou Deus, o Deus de seu pai. Não tenha medo de descer ao Egito, pois lá farei de você uma grande nação.

4Eu descerei com você ao Egito. Eu também certamente o farei subir de novo. A mão de José fechará os seus olhos.”

5Jacó levantou-se de Berseba, e os filhos de Israel levaram Jacó, seu pai, seus pequeninos e suas mulheres, nas carroças que o Faraó tinha enviado para transportá-lo.

6Eles levaram seus rebanhos e os seus bens, que haviam adquirido na terra de Canaã, e chegaram ao Egito — Jacó e toda a sua descendência com ele,

7seus filhos e os filhos de seus filhos com ele, suas filhas e as filhas de seus filhos; e ele levou toda a sua descendência consigo para o Egito.

8Estes são os nomes dos filhos de Israel que foram para o Egito, Jacó e seus filhos: Rúben, o primogênito de Jacó.

9Os filhos de Rúben: Enoque, Palu, Hezrom e Carmi.

10Os filhos de Simeão: Jemuel, Jamim, Oade, Jaquim, Zoar e Saul, filho de uma mulher cananeia.

11Os filhos de Levi: Gérson, Coate e Merari.

12Os filhos de Judá: Er, Onã, Selá, Perez e Zerá; mas Er e Onã morreram na terra de Canaã. Os filhos de Perez foram Hezrom e Hamul.

13Os filhos de Issacar: Tola, Puva, Jó e Sinrom.

14Os filhos de Zebulom: Serede, Elom e Jaleel.

15Estes são os filhos de Lia, que ela deu à luz a Jacó em Padã-Arã, além de sua filha Diná. Todas as almas de seus filhos e filhas foram trinta e três.

16Os filhos de Gade: Zifião, Hagi, Suni, Esbom, Eri, Arodi e Areli.

17Os filhos de Aser: Imná, Isvá, Isvi, Berias e Sera, a irmã deles. Os filhos de Berias: Héber e Malquiel.

18Estes são os filhos de Zilpa, a quem Labão deu a sua filha Lia; e ela os deu à luz a Jacó, totalizando dezesseis almas.

19Os filhos de Raquel, mulher de Jacó: José e Benjamim.

20A José, na terra do Egito, nasceram Manassés e Efraim, que Asenate, filha de Potífera, sacerdote de Om, lhe deu à luz.

21Os filhos de Benjamim: Belá, Bequer, Asbel, Gera, Naamã, Eí, Rôs, Mupim, Hupim e Arde.

22Estes são os filhos de Raquel, que nasceram a Jacó: todas as almas foram catorze.

23O filho de Dã: Husim.

24Os filhos de Naftali: Jazeel, Guni, Jezer e Silém.

25Estes são os filhos de Bila, a quem Labão deu a sua filha Raquel; e ela os deu à luz a Jacó: todas as almas foram sete.

26Todas as almas que foram com Jacó para o Egito, que eram sua descendência direta, além das mulheres dos filhos de Jacó, todas as almas foram sessenta e seis.

27Os filhos de José, que lhe nasceram no Egito, foram duas almas. Todas as almas da casa de Jacó, que foram para o Egito, foram setenta.

28Jacó enviou Judá adiante de si a José, para mostrar o caminho à sua frente até Gósen; e eles chegaram à terra de Gósen.

29José preparou a sua carruagem e subiu para encontrar Israel, seu pai, em Gósen. Ele se apresentou a ele, lançou-se ao seu pescoço e chorou em seu pescoço por um bom tempo.

30Israel disse a José: “Agora já posso morrer, já que vi o seu rosto e que você ainda está vivo.”

31José disse a seus irmãos e à casa de seu pai: “Eu subirei e falarei com o Faraó, e lhe direi: 'Meus irmãos e a casa de meu pai, que estavam na terra de Canaã, vieram para mim.

32Estes homens são pastores, pois têm sido criadores de gado, e trouxeram os seus rebanhos, o seu gado e tudo o que têm.'

33Acontecerá que, quando o Faraó os chamar e disser: 'Qual é a ocupação de vocês?'

34vocês dirão: 'Seus servos têm sido criadores de gado desde a nossa juventude até agora, tanto nós como os nossos pais'; para que vocês possam habitar na terra de Gósen; pois todo pastor de ovelhas é abominação para os egípcios.”

1Israel traveled with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices to the God of his father, Isaac.

2God spoke to Israel in the visions of the night, and said, “Jacob, Jacob!” He said, “Here I am.”

3He said, “I am God, the God of your father. Don’t be afraid to go down into Egypt, for there I will make of you a great nation.

4I will go down with you into Egypt. I will also surely bring you up again. Joseph’s hand will close your eyes.”

5Jacob rose up from Beersheba, and the sons of Israel carried Jacob, their father, their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.

6They took their livestock, and their goods, which they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt—Jacob, and all his offspring with him,

7his sons, and his sons’ sons with him, his daughters, and his sons’ daughters, and he brought all his offspring with him into Egypt.

8These are the names of the children of Israel, who came into Egypt, Jacob and his sons: Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn.

9The sons of Reuben: Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.

10The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanite woman.

11The sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

12The sons of Judah: Er, Onan, Shelah, Perez, and Zerah; but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. The sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.

13The sons of Issachar: Tola, Puvah, Iob, and Shimron.

14The sons of Zebulun: Sered, Elon, and Jahleel.

15These are the sons of Leah, whom she bore to Jacob in Paddan Aram, with his daughter Dinah. All the souls of his sons and his daughters were thirty-three.

16The sons of Gad: Ziphion, Haggi, Shuni, Ezbon, Eri, Arodi, and Areli.

17The sons of Asher: Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, Beriah, and Serah their sister. The sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel.

18These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah, his daughter, and these she bore to Jacob, even sixteen souls.

19The sons of Rachel, Jacob’s wife: Joseph and Benjamin.

20To Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, whom Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera, priest of On, bore to him.

21The sons of Benjamin: Bela, Becher, Ashbel, Gera, Naaman, Ehi, Rosh, Muppim, Huppim, and Ard.

22These are the sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob: all the souls were fourteen.

23The son of Dan: Hushim.

24The sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, Guni, Jezer, and Shillem.

25These are the sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave to Rachel, his daughter, and these she bore to Jacob: all the souls were seven.

26All the souls who came with Jacob into Egypt, who were his direct offspring, in addition to Jacob’s sons’ wives, all the souls were sixty-six.

27The sons of Joseph, who were born to him in Egypt, were two souls. All the souls of the house of Jacob, who came into Egypt, were seventy.

28Jacob sent Judah before him to Joseph, to show the way before him to Goshen, and they came into the land of Goshen.

29Joseph prepared his chariot, and went up to meet Israel, his father, in Goshen. He presented himself to him, and fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.

30Israel said to Joseph, “Now let me die, since I have seen your face, that you are still alive.”

31Joseph said to his brothers, and to his father’s house, “I will go up, and speak with Pharaoh, and will tell him, ‘My brothers, and my father’s house, who were in the land of Canaan, have come to me.

32These men are shepherds, for they have been keepers of livestock, and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.’

33It will happen, when Pharaoh summons you, and will say, ‘What is your occupation?’

34that you shall say, ‘Your servants have been keepers of livestock from our youth even until now, both we, and our fathers:’ that you may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination to the Egyptians.”
