Gálatas 5— comparação

1Permaneçam firmes, portanto, na liberdade com a qual Cristo nos libertou, e não se deixem prender novamente a um jugo de escravidão.

2Vejam, eu, Paulo, lhes digo que, se vocês receberem a circuncisão, Cristo de nada lhes aproveitará.

3Sim, eu testemunho novamente a todo homem que recebe a circuncisão de que ele está obrigado a cumprir toda a lei.

4Vocês estão separados de Cristo, vocês que desejam ser justificados pela lei. Vocês caíram da graça.

5Pois nós, por meio do Espírito, pela fé aguardamos a esperança da justiça.

6Pois em Cristo Jesus nem a circuncisão nem a incircuncisão têm valor algum, mas sim a fé que atua pelo amor.

7Vocês estavam correndo bem! Quem interferiu para que vocês não obedecessem à verdade?

8Essa persuasão não vem daquele que os chama.

9Um pouco de fermento leveda toda a massa.

10Tenho confiança a respeito de vocês no Senhor de que não pensarão de outra forma. Mas aquele que os perturba sofrerá o seu juízo, seja ele quem for.

11Mas eu, irmãos, se ainda prego a circuncisão, por que ainda sou perseguido? Nesse caso, o tropeço da cruz foi removido.

12Eu gostaria que aqueles que os perturbam se mutilassem.

13Pois vocês, irmãos, foram chamados para a liberdade. Apenas não usem a liberdade como oportunidade para a carne, mas, por meio do amor, sejam servos uns dos outros.

14Pois toda a lei se cumpre em uma só palavra, nesta: “Você amará o seu próximo como a si mesmo.”

15Mas, se vocês mordem e devoram uns aos outros, tenham cuidado para não consumirem uns aos outros.

16Mas eu digo: andem pelo Espírito, e vocês não satisfarão os desejos da carne.

17Pois a carne cobiça contra o Espírito, e o Espírito contra a carne; e estes são opostos um ao outro, para que vocês não façam o que desejam.

18Mas, se vocês são guiados pelo Espírito, não estão debaixo da lei.

19Ora, as obras da carne são evidentes, as quais são: adultério, imoralidade sexual, impureza, lascívia,

20idolatria, feitiçaria, ódio, discórdias, ciúmes, acessos de ira, rivalidades, divisões, heresias,

21inveja, homicídios, bebedeiras, orgias e coisas semelhantes a estas; sobre as quais eu os advirto, assim como já os adverti, de que aqueles que praticam tais coisas não herdarão o Reino de Deus.

22Mas o fruto do Espírito é amor, alegria, paz, paciência, benignidade, bondade, fé,

23mansidão e domínio próprio. Contra tais coisas não há lei.

24Aqueles que pertencem a Cristo crucificaram a carne com as suas paixões e desejos.

25Se vivemos pelo Espírito, andemos também pelo Espírito.

26Não nos tornemos presunçosos, provocando uns aos outros e invejando uns aos outros.

1Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.

2Behold, I, Paul, tell you that if you receive circumcision, Christ will profit you nothing.

3Yes, I testify again to every man who receives circumcision that he is a debtor to do the whole law.

4You are alienated from Christ, you who desire to be justified by the law. You have fallen away from grace.

5For we through the Spirit, by faith wait for the hope of righteousness.

6For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision amounts to anything, but faith working through love.

7You were running well! Who interfered with you that you should not obey the truth?

8This persuasion is not from him who calls you.

9A little yeast grows through the whole lump.

10I have confidence toward you in the Lord that you will think no other way. But he who troubles you will bear his judgment, whoever he is.

11But I, brothers, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? Then the stumbling block of the cross has been removed.

12I wish that those who disturb you would cut themselves off.

13For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don’t use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.

14For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

15But if you bite and devour one another, be careful that you don’t consume one another.

16But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh.

17For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire.

18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

19Now the deeds of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness,

20idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies,

21envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom.

22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith,

23gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

24Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.

25If we live by the Spirit, let’s also walk by the Spirit.

26Let’s not become conceited, provoking one another, and envying one another.
