Filipenses 2— comparação

1Portanto, se há algum encorajamento em Cristo, se alguma consolação de amor, se alguma comunhão do Espírito, se algumas ternas misericórdias e compaixão,

2completem a minha alegria, tendo o mesmo modo de pensar, tendo o mesmo amor, sendo unidos de alma, de uma só mente;

3não fazendo nada por rivalidade ou por vaidade, mas com humildade, cada um considerando os outros superiores a si mesmo;

4cada um de vocês não buscando apenas os seus próprios interesses, mas cada um de vocês também os interesses dos outros.

5Tenham em vocês a mesma mente que também houve em Cristo Jesus,

6o qual, existindo na forma de Deus, não considerou a igualdade com Deus algo a que se apegar,

7mas esvaziou a si mesmo, assumindo a forma de servo, tornando-se semelhante aos homens.

8E, sendo encontrado em forma humana, ele humilhou a si mesmo, tornando-se obediente até a morte, sim, a morte de cruz.

9Por isso Deus também o exaltou soberanamente, e lhe deu o nome que está acima de todo nome,

10para que ao nome de Jesus se dobre todo joelho, dos que estão nos céus, dos que estão na terra, e dos que estão debaixo da terra,

11e que toda língua confesse que Jesus Cristo é o Senhor, para a glória de Deus Pai.

12Assim, meus amados, como vocês sempre obedeceram, não apenas na minha presença, mas agora muito mais na minha ausência, desenvolvam a sua própria salvação com temor e tremor.

13Pois é Deus quem opera em vocês tanto o querer quanto o realizar, para o seu bom agrado.

14Façam todas as coisas sem murmurações e discussões,

15para que vocês se tornem irrepreensíveis e puros, filhos de Deus sem defeito no meio de uma geração corrompida e perversa, entre a qual vocês são vistos como luzes no mundo,

16segurando firmemente a palavra da vida, para que eu tenha do que me gloriar no dia de Cristo, de que não corri em vão nem trabalhei em vão.

17Sim, e ainda que eu seja derramado sobre o sacrifício e serviço da fé de vocês, eu me alegro e regozijo com todos vocês.

18Da mesma forma, vocês também devem se alegrar e regozijar comigo.

19Mas espero no Senhor Jesus enviar-lhes Timóteo em breve, para que eu também me anime quando souber como vocês estão.

20Pois não tenho mais ninguém com essa mesma mente, que cuidará sinceramente de vocês.

21Pois todos buscam os seus próprios interesses, não os de Jesus Cristo.

22Mas vocês sabem que ele deu provas de si mesmo. Como um filho serve a um pai, assim ele serviu comigo no avanço das Boas Novas.

23Portanto, espero enviá-lo imediatamente, assim que eu vir como as coisas ficarão para mim.

24Mas confio no Senhor que eu mesmo também irei em breve.

25Mas julguei necessário enviar a vocês Epafrodito, meu irmão, cooperador, companheiro de lutas, e o apóstolo de vocês e servo para as minhas necessidades,

26visto que ele tinha muita saudade de todos vocês, e estava muito angustiado porque vocês tinham ouvido que ele estava doente.

27Pois de fato ele esteve doente, quase à morte, mas Deus teve misericórdia dele, e não somente dele, mas também de mim, para que eu não tivesse tristeza sobre tristeza.

28Portanto, eu o enviei com ainda mais diligência, para que, ao vê-lo novamente, vocês se alegrem, e eu tenha menos tristeza.

29Recebam-no, pois, no Senhor com toda a alegria, e honrem a pessoas como ele,

30porque pela obra de Cristo ele chegou perto da morte, arriscando a sua vida para suprir o que faltava no serviço de vocês para comigo.

1If therefore there is any exhortation in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tender mercies and compassion,

2make my joy full by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind;

3doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself;

4each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others.

5Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus,

6who, existing in the form of God, didn’t consider equality with God a thing to be grasped,

7but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men.

8And being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to the point of death, yes, the death of the cross.

9Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name,

10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth,

11and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

12So then, my beloved, even as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

13For it is God who works in you both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

14Do all things without complaining and arguing,

15that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without defect in the middle of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you are seen as lights in the world,

16holding up the word of life, that I may have something to boast in the day of Christ that I didn’t run in vain nor labor in vain.

17Yes, and if I am poured out on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all.

18In the same way, you also should be glad and rejoice with me.

19But I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, that I also may be cheered up when I know how you are doing.

20For I have no one else like-minded, who will truly care about you.

21For they all seek their own, not the things of Jesus Christ.

22But you know that he has proved himself. As a child serves a father, so he served with me in furtherance of the Good News.

23Therefore I hope to send him at once, as soon as I see how it will go with me.

24But I trust in the Lord that I myself also will come shortly.

25But I thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, fellow worker, fellow soldier, and your apostle and servant of my need,

26since he longed for you all, and was very troubled because you had heard that he was sick.

27For indeed he was sick nearly to death, but God had mercy on him, and not on him only, but on me also, that I might not have sorrow on sorrow.

28I have sent him therefore the more diligently, that when you see him again, you may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.

29Receive him therefore in the Lord with all joy, and hold such people in honor,

30because for the work of Christ he came near to death, risking his life to supply that which was lacking in your service toward me.
