Apocalipse 4— comparação

1Depois destas coisas, olhei e vi uma porta aberta no céu; e a primeira voz que ouvi, que falava comigo como trombeta, disse: “Suba para cá, e eu lhe mostrarei as coisas que devem acontecer depois destas.”

2Imediatamente fui arrebatado no Espírito. Eis que havia um trono armado no céu, e alguém sentado no trono;

3e aquele que estava sentado tinha a aparência de uma pedra de jaspe e de sardônio. Havia um arco-íris ao redor do trono, com a aparência de uma esmeralda.

4Ao redor do trono havia vinte e quatro tronos. Sentados nos tronos estavam vinte e quatro anciãos, vestidos de vestes brancas, com coroas de ouro na cabeça.

5Do trono saíam relâmpagos, vozes e trovões. Diante do trono ardiam sete lâmpadas de fogo, as quais são os sete Espíritos de Deus.

6Diante do trono havia algo como um mar de vidro, semelhante ao cristal. No meio do trono e ao redor do trono havia quatro seres viventes cheios de olhos na frente e por trás.

7O primeiro ser vivente era semelhante a um leão, o segundo ser vivente era semelhante a um bezerro, o terceiro ser vivente tinha o rosto como o de um homem, e o quarto era semelhante a uma águia voando.

8Os quatro seres viventes, cada um deles com seis asas, são cheios de olhos ao redor e por dentro. Eles não têm descanso nem de dia nem de noite, dizendo: “Santo, santo, santo é o Senhor Deus, o Todo-Poderoso, que era, que é e que há de vir!”

9Quando os seres viventes dão glória, honra e ações de graças àquele que está sentado no trono, àquele que vive para todo o sempre,

10os vinte e quatro anciãos se prostram diante daquele que está sentado no trono e adoram aquele que vive para todo o sempre, e lançam as suas coroas diante do trono, dizendo:

11“Digno és tu, Senhor e Deus nosso, o Santo, de receber a glória, a honra e o poder, porque tu criaste todas as coisas, e por tua vontade elas vieram a existir e foram criadas!”

1After these things I looked and saw a door opened in heaven; and the first voice that I heard, like a trumpet speaking with me, was one saying, “Come up here, and I will show you the things which must happen after this.”

2Immediately I was in the Spirit. Behold, there was a throne set in heaven, and one sitting on the throne

3that looked like a jasper stone and a sardius. There was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald to look at.

4Around the throne were twenty-four thrones. On the thrones were twenty-four elders sitting, dressed in white garments, with crowns of gold on their heads.

5Out of the throne proceed lightnings, sounds, and thunders. There were seven lamps of fire burning before his throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

6Before the throne was something like a sea of glass, similar to crystal. In the middle of the throne, and around the throne were four living creatures full of eyes before and behind.

7The first creature was like a lion, the second creature like a calf, the third creature had a face like a man, and the fourth was like a flying eagle.

8The four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within. They have no rest day and night, saying, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come!”

9When the living creatures give glory, honor, and thanks to him who sits on the throne, to him who lives forever and ever,

10the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever, and throw their crowns before the throne, saying,

11“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, the Holy One, to receive the glory, the honor, and the power, for you created all things, and because of your desire they existed and were created!”
