2 Samuel 7— comparação

1Quando o rei já morava em sua casa, e o SENHOR lhe dera descanso de todos os seus inimigos ao redor,

2o rei disse ao profeta Natã: “Veja agora, eu moro em uma casa de cedro, mas a arca de Deus habita debaixo de cortinas.”

3Natã disse ao rei: “Vá, faça tudo o que está em seu coração, pois o SENHOR está com você.”

4Naquela mesma noite, a palavra do SENHOR veio a Natã, dizendo:

5“Vá e diga ao meu servo Davi: 'Assim diz o SENHOR: Você me construiria uma casa para eu morar?

6Pois eu não tenho morado em uma casa desde o dia em que tirei os filhos de Israel do Egito até o dia de hoje, mas tenho peregrinado em uma tenda e em um tabernáculo.

7Em todos os lugares por onde andei com todos os filhos de Israel, acaso falei alguma palavra a qualquer um dos líderes das tribos de Israel a quem ordenei que pastoreasse o meu povo Israel, dizendo: Por que vocês não me construíram uma casa de cedro?'

8Agora, portanto, diga isto ao meu servo Davi: 'Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos: Eu o tirei do aprisco das ovelhas, de seguir as ovelhas, para ser príncipe sobre o meu povo, sobre Israel.

9Tenho estado com você por onde quer que você tenha ido, e eliminei todos os seus inimigos de diante de você. Eu lhe farei um grande nome, como o nome dos grandes que há na terra.

10Designarei um lugar para o meu povo Israel e os plantarei, para que habitem em seu próprio lugar e não sejam mais perturbados. Os filhos da iniquidade não os afligirão mais, como no princípio,

11e como desde o dia em que ordenei que houvesse juízes sobre o meu povo Israel. Eu lhe darei descanso de todos os seus inimigos. Além disso, o SENHOR lhe declara que o SENHOR fará uma casa para você.

12Quando os seus dias se cumprirem e você descansar com os seus pais, eu levantarei a sua descendência depois de você, a qual procederá do seu corpo, e estabelecerei o seu reino.

13Ele construirá uma casa para o meu nome, e eu estabelecerei o trono do seu reino para sempre.

14Eu serei seu pai, e ele será meu filho. Se ele cometer iniquidade, eu o castigarei com a vara dos homens e com os açoites dos filhos dos homens;

15mas o meu amor leal não se apartará dele, como o tirei de Saul, a quem removi de diante de você.

16A sua casa e o seu reino serão firmados para sempre diante de você. O seu trono será estabelecido para sempre.'”

17Natã falou a Davi todas essas palavras, de acordo com toda essa visão.

18Então o rei Davi entrou, assentou-se diante do SENHOR, e disse: “Quem sou eu, Senhor DEUS, e o que é a minha família, para que me tenhas trazido até aqui?

19E isso ainda foi pouca coisa aos teus olhos, Senhor DEUS, mas tu também falaste a respeito da casa do teu servo para um futuro distante; e é assim que ages com os homens, Senhor DEUS!

20O que mais Davi pode te dizer? Pois tu conheces o teu servo, Senhor DEUS.

21Por causa da tua palavra, e segundo o teu próprio coração, realizaste toda esta grandeza, para torná-la conhecida ao teu servo.

22Portanto, tu és grande, SENHOR Deus. Pois não há ninguém como tu, nem há qualquer Deus além de ti, segundo tudo o que ouvimos com os nossos ouvidos.

23E que outra nação na terra há como o teu povo, como Israel, a quem Deus foi resgatar para ser o seu povo, e para fazer um nome para si, e para fazer grandes coisas por ti, e coisas temíveis pela tua terra, diante do teu povo, o qual resgataste para ti do Egito, dentre as nações e os seus deuses?

24Tu estabeleceste para ti o teu povo Israel, para ser o teu povo para sempre; e tu, SENHOR, te tornaste o Deus deles.

25“Agora, SENHOR Deus, a palavra que falaste a respeito do teu servo e a respeito da sua casa, confirma-a para sempre, e faze como falaste.

26Que o teu nome seja engrandecido para sempre, dizendo: 'O SENHOR dos Exércitos é Deus sobre Israel; e a casa do teu servo Davi será estabelecida diante de ti.'

27Pois tu, SENHOR dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel, fizeste uma revelação ao teu servo, dizendo: 'Eu construirei uma casa para você.' Portanto, o teu servo encontrou coragem em seu coração para te fazer esta oração.

28“Agora, ó Senhor DEUS, tu és Deus, e as tuas palavras são verdade, e prometeste esta boa coisa ao teu servo.

29Agora, pois, que te agrade abençoar a casa do teu servo, para que ela continue para sempre diante de ti; pois tu, Senhor DEUS, o falaste. Que a casa do teu servo seja abençoada para sempre com a tua bênção.”

1When the king lived in his house, and Yahweh had given him rest from all his enemies all around,

2the king said to Nathan the prophet, “See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but God’s ark dwells within curtains.”

3Nathan said to the king, “Go, do all that is in your heart, for Yahweh is with you.”

4That same night, Yahweh’s word came to Nathan, saying,

5“Go and tell my servant David, ‘Yahweh says, “Should you build me a house for me to dwell in?

6For I have not lived in a house since the day that I brought the children of Israel up out of Egypt, even to this day, but have moved around in a tent and in a tabernacle.

7In all places in which I have walked with all the children of Israel, did I say a word to anyone from the tribes of Israel whom I commanded to be shepherd of my people Israel, saying, ‘Why have you not built me a house of cedar?’”’

8Now therefore tell my servant David this: ‘Yahweh of Armies says, “I took you from the sheep pen, from following the sheep, to be prince over my people, over Israel.

9I have been with you wherever you went, and have cut off all your enemies from before you. I will make you a great name, like the name of the great ones who are in the earth.

10I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in their own place and be moved no more. The children of wickedness will not afflict them any more, as at the first,

11and as from the day that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel. I will cause you to rest from all your enemies. Moreover Yahweh tells you that Yahweh will make you a house.

12When your days are fulfilled and you sleep with your fathers, I will set up your offspring after you, who will proceed out of your body, and I will establish his kingdom.

13He will build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.

14I will be his father, and he will be my son. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men and with the stripes of the children of men;

15but my loving kindness will not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before you.

16Your house and your kingdom will be made sure forever before you. Your throne will be established forever.”’”

17Nathan spoke to David all these words, and according to all this vision.

18Then David the king went in and sat before Yahweh; and he said, “Who am I, Lord Yahweh, and what is my house, that you have brought me this far?

19This was yet a small thing in your eyes, Lord Yahweh, but you have spoken also of your servant’s house for a great while to come; and this among men, Lord Yahweh!

20What more can David say to you? For you know your servant, Lord Yahweh.

21For your word’s sake, and according to your own heart, you have worked all this greatness, to make your servant know it.

22Therefore you are great, Yahweh God. For there is no one like you, neither is there any God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

23What one nation in the earth is like your people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem to himself for a people, and to make himself a name, and to do great things for you, and awesome things for your land, before your people, whom you redeemed to yourself out of Egypt, from the nations and their gods?

24You established for yourself your people Israel to be your people forever; and you, Yahweh, became their God.

25“Now, Yahweh God, the word that you have spoken concerning your servant, and concerning his house, confirm it forever, and do as you have spoken.

26Let your name be magnified forever, saying, ‘Yahweh of Armies is God over Israel; and the house of your servant David will be established before you.’

27For you, Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, have revealed to your servant, saying, ‘I will build you a house.’ Therefore your servant has found in his heart to pray this prayer to you.

28“Now, O Lord Yahweh, you are God, and your words are truth, and you have promised this good thing to your servant.

29Now therefore, let it please you to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever before you; for you, Lord Yahweh, have spoken it. Let the house of your servant be blessed forever with your blessing.”
