2 Crônicas 30— comparação

1Ezequias enviou mensageiros a todo o Israel e Judá, e também escreveu cartas a Efraim e Manassés, para que viessem à casa do SENHOR em Jerusalém, a fim de celebrar a Páscoa ao SENHOR, o Deus de Israel.

2Pois o rei havia decidido em conselho com seus líderes e com toda a assembleia em Jerusalém celebrar a Páscoa no segundo mês.

3Porque não puderam celebrá-la naquele tempo, pois os sacerdotes não haviam se santificado em número suficiente, e o povo não havia se reunido em Jerusalém.

4Isso pareceu bem aos olhos do rei e de toda a assembleia.

5Então estabeleceram um decreto para fazer uma proclamação por todo o Israel, desde Berseba até Dã, para que viessem celebrar a Páscoa ao SENHOR, o Deus de Israel, em Jerusalém; pois não a haviam celebrado em grande número da maneira como está escrito.

6Assim, os mensageiros foram com as cartas do rei e de seus líderes por todo o Israel e Judá, segundo a ordem do rei, dizendo: “Filhos de Israel, voltem-se novamente para o SENHOR, o Deus de Abraão, Isaque e Israel, para que ele se volte para o remanescente de vocês que escapou das mãos dos reis da Assíria.

7Não sejam como seus pais e como seus irmãos, que transgrediram contra o SENHOR, o Deus de seus pais, de modo que ele os entregou à desolação, como vocês estão vendo.

8Agora, não sejam obstinados, como foram seus pais, mas submetam-se ao SENHOR, e entrem em seu santuário, que ele santificou para sempre, e sirvam ao SENHOR, seu Deus, para que a sua ira ardente se desvie de vocês.

9Pois, se vocês se voltarem novamente para o SENHOR, seus irmãos e seus filhos encontrarão compaixão junto àqueles que os levaram cativos, e voltarão a esta terra; porque o SENHOR, seu Deus, é bondoso e misericordioso, e não desviará o seu rosto de vocês, se vocês se voltarem para ele.”

10Os mensageiros passaram de cidade em cidade pelas terras de Efraim e Manassés, até Zebulom; mas as pessoas zombavam deles e os ridicularizavam.

11No entanto, alguns homens de Aser, de Manassés e de Zebulom se humilharam e foram a Jerusalém.

12A mão de Deus também esteve sobre Judá para dar-lhes um só coração, a fim de cumprirem a ordem do rei e dos líderes, segundo a palavra do SENHOR.

13Muitas pessoas se reuniram em Jerusalém para celebrar a Festa dos Pães Asmos no segundo mês, uma assembleia imensa.

14Eles se levantaram e removeram os altares que havia em Jerusalém; também removeram todos os altares de incenso e os lançaram no vale de Cedrom.

15Então sacrificaram o cordeiro da Páscoa no décimo quarto dia do segundo mês. Os sacerdotes e os levitas se envergonharam, santificaram-se e trouxeram holocaustos à casa do SENHOR.

16Eles tomaram os seus lugares segundo a sua ordem, de acordo com a lei de Moisés, homem de Deus. Os sacerdotes aspergiam o sangue que recebiam das mãos dos levitas.

17Pois havia muitos na assembleia que não haviam se santificado; por isso, os levitas ficaram encarregados de sacrificar os cordeiros da Páscoa por todos os que não estavam purificados, para consagrá-los ao SENHOR.

18Pois uma multidão do povo, muitos de Efraim, Manassés, Issacar e Zebulom, não havia se purificado, e ainda assim comeram a Páscoa de uma maneira diferente da que está escrita. Mas Ezequias orou por eles, dizendo: “Que o bom SENHOR perdoe a todo aquele

19que prepara o seu coração para buscar a Deus, o SENHOR, o Deus de seus pais, mesmo que não esteja purificado segundo as regras de purificação do santuário.”

20O SENHOR ouviu a Ezequias e curou o povo.

21Os filhos de Israel que estavam presentes em Jerusalém celebraram a Festa dos Pães Asmos por sete dias com grande alegria. Os levitas e os sacerdotes louvavam ao SENHOR dia após dia, cantando ao SENHOR com instrumentos ressoantes.

22Ezequias falou palavras de encorajamento a todos os levitas que demonstravam bom entendimento no serviço do SENHOR. Assim, eles comeram durante os sete dias da festa, oferecendo sacrifícios pacíficos e rendendo graças ao SENHOR, o Deus de seus pais.

23Toda a assembleia decidiu em conselho celebrar a festa por mais sete dias, e eles a celebraram por mais sete dias com alegria.

24Pois Ezequias, rei de Judá, deu à assembleia para as ofertas mil novilhos e sete mil ovelhas; e os líderes deram à assembleia mil novilhos e dez mil ovelhas; e um grande número de sacerdotes se santificou.

25Toda a assembleia de Judá, com os sacerdotes e os levitas, e toda a assembleia que veio de Israel, bem como os estrangeiros que vieram da terra de Israel e os que habitavam em Judá, se alegraram.

26Houve, pois, grande alegria em Jerusalém; porque desde os dias de Salomão, filho de Davi, rei de Israel, não havia nada semelhante a isso em Jerusalém.

27Então os sacerdotes levitas se levantaram e abençoaram o povo. A voz deles foi ouvida, e a sua oração chegou até a sua santa habitação, até os céus.

1Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to Yahweh’s house at Jerusalem, to keep the Passover to Yahweh, the God of Israel.

2For the king had taken counsel with his princes and all the assembly in Jerusalem to keep the Passover in the second month.

3For they could not keep it at that time, because the priests had not sanctified themselves in sufficient number, and the people had not gathered themselves together to Jerusalem.

4The thing was right in the eyes of the king and of all the assembly.

5So they established a decree to make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba even to Dan, that they should come to keep the Passover to Yahweh, the God of Israel, at Jerusalem, for they had not kept it in great numbers in the way it is written.

6So the couriers went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, according to the commandment of the king, saying, “You children of Israel, turn again to Yahweh, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, that he may return to the remnant of you that have escaped out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.

7Don’t be like your fathers and like your brothers, who trespassed against Yahweh, the God of their fathers, so that he gave them up to desolation, as you see.

8Now don’t be stiff-necked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves to Yahweh, and enter into his sanctuary, which he has sanctified forever, and serve Yahweh your God, that his fierce anger may turn away from you.

9For if you turn again to Yahweh, your brothers and your children will find compassion with those who led them captive, and will come again into this land, because Yahweh your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you if you return to him.”

10So the couriers passed from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh, even to Zebulun, but people ridiculed them and mocked them.

11Nevertheless some men of Asher, Manasseh, and Zebulun humbled themselves and came to Jerusalem.

12Also the hand of God came on Judah to give them one heart, to do the commandment of the king and of the princes by Yahweh’s word.

13Many people assembled at Jerusalem to keep the feast of unleavened bread in the second month, a very great assembly.

14They arose and took away the altars that were in Jerusalem, and they took away all the altars for incense and threw them into the brook Kidron.

15Then they killed the Passover on the fourteenth day of the second month. The priests and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought burnt offerings into Yahweh’s house.

16They stood in their place after their order, according to the law of Moses the man of God. The priests sprinkled the blood which they received of the hand of the Levites.

17For there were many in the assembly who had not sanctified themselves; therefore the Levites were in charge of killing the Passovers for everyone who was not clean, to sanctify them to Yahweh.

18For a multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet they ate the Passover other than the way it is written. For Hezekiah had prayed for them, saying, “May the good Yahweh pardon everyone

19who sets his heart to seek God, Yahweh, the God of his fathers, even if they aren’t clean according to the purification of the sanctuary.”

20Yahweh listened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.

21The children of Israel who were present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great gladness. The Levites and the priests praised Yahweh day by day, singing with loud instruments to Yahweh.

22Hezekiah spoke encouragingly to all the Levites who had good understanding in the service of Yahweh. So they ate throughout the feast for the seven days, offering sacrifices of peace offerings and making confession to Yahweh, the God of their fathers.

23The whole assembly took counsel to keep another seven days, and they kept another seven days with gladness.

24For Hezekiah king of Judah gave to the assembly for offerings one thousand bulls and seven thousand sheep; and the princes gave to the assembly a thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep; and a great number of priests sanctified themselves.

25All the assembly of Judah, with the priests and the Levites, and all the assembly who came out of Israel, and the foreigners who came out of the land of Israel and who lived in Judah, rejoiced.

26So there was great joy in Jerusalem; for since the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel there was nothing like this in Jerusalem.

27Then the Levitical priests arose and blessed the people. Their voice was heard, and their prayer came up to his holy habitation, even to heaven.
