1 Reis 15— comparação

1No décimo oitavo ano do rei Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, Abião começou a reinar sobre Judá.

2Ele reinou três anos em Jerusalém. O nome de sua mãe era Maaca, filha de Absalão.

3Ele andou em todos os pecados que seu pai havia cometido antes dele; e seu coração não foi perfeito para com o SENHOR, seu Deus, como o coração de Davi, seu pai.

4Contudo, por amor a Davi, o SENHOR, seu Deus, deu-lhe uma lâmpada em Jerusalém, levantando seu filho depois dele e estabelecendo Jerusalém;

5porque Davi fez o que era reto aos olhos do SENHOR, e não se desviou de nada do que ele lhe ordenou todos os dias de sua vida, exceto apenas no caso de Urias, o heteu.

6Houve guerra entre Roboão e Jeroboão todos os dias de sua vida.

7O restante dos atos de Abião, e tudo o que ele fez, não estão escritos no livro das crônicas dos reis de Judá? Houve guerra entre Abião e Jeroboão.

8Abião descansou com seus pais, e o sepultaram na cidade de Davi; e Asa, seu filho, reinou em seu lugar.

9No vigésimo ano de Jeroboão, rei de Israel, Asa começou a reinar sobre Judá.

10Ele reinou quarenta e um anos em Jerusalém. O nome de sua mãe era Maaca, filha de Absalão.

11Asa fez o que era reto aos olhos do SENHOR, como Davi, seu pai, havia feito.

12Ele expulsou os sodomitas da terra, e removeu todos os ídolos que seus pais haviam feito.

13Ele também destituiu Maaca, sua mãe, da posição de rainha, porque ela havia feito uma imagem abominável para Aserá. Asa derrubou a imagem dela e a queimou no ribeiro de Cedrom.

14Mas os altos não foram removidos. Contudo, o coração de Asa foi perfeito para com o SENHOR todos os seus dias.

15Ele trouxe para a casa do SENHOR as coisas que seu pai havia dedicado, e as coisas que ele mesmo havia dedicado: prata, ouro e utensílios.

16Houve guerra entre Asa e Baasa, rei de Israel, todos os seus dias.

17Baasa, rei de Israel, subiu contra Judá e edificou Ramá, para não permitir que ninguém saísse ou chegasse a Asa, rei de Judá.

18Então Asa pegou toda a prata e o ouro que restavam nos tesouros da casa do SENHOR, e os tesouros da casa do rei, e os entregou nas mãos de seus servos. Em seguida, o rei Asa os enviou a Ben-Hadade, filho de Tabrimom, filho de Heziom, rei da Síria, que habitava em Damasco, dizendo:

19“Haja um tratado entre mim e você, como houve entre meu pai e o seu pai. Eis que lhe envio um presente de prata e ouro. Vá, quebre o seu tratado com Baasa, rei de Israel, para que ele se retire de mim.”

20Ben-Hadade deu ouvidos ao rei Asa, e enviou os comandantes de seus exércitos contra as cidades de Israel, e atacou Ijom, Dã, Abel-Bete-Maaca, e toda Quinerete, com toda a terra de Naftali.

21Quando Baasa soube disso, parou de edificar Ramá e passou a morar em Tirza.

22Então o rei Asa fez uma convocação a todo o Judá. Ninguém foi isentado. Eles levaram as pedras de Ramá e a sua madeira, com as quais Baasa a estava edificando; e o rei Asa as usou para edificar Geba de Benjamim, e Mispá.

23Ora, o restante de todos os atos de Asa, e todo o seu poder, e tudo o que ele fez, e as cidades que edificou, não estão escritos no livro das crônicas dos reis de Judá? Porém, no tempo de sua velhice, ele ficou doente dos pés.

24Asa descansou com seus pais, e foi sepultado com seus pais na cidade de Davi, seu pai; e Josafá, seu filho, reinou em seu lugar.

25Nadabe, filho de Jeroboão, começou a reinar sobre Israel no segundo ano de Asa, rei de Judá; e ele reinou sobre Israel dois anos.

26Ele fez o que era mau aos olhos do SENHOR, e andou no caminho de seu pai, e no seu pecado com o qual fez Israel pecar.

27Baasa, filho de Aías, da casa de Issacar, conspirou contra ele; e Baasa o atacou em Gibetom, que pertencia aos filisteus; pois Nadabe e todo o Israel estavam cercando Gibetom.

28Foi no terceiro ano de Asa, rei de Judá, que Baasa o matou e reinou em seu lugar.

29Assim que se tornou rei, ele atacou toda a casa de Jeroboão. Ele não deixou a Jeroboão ninguém que respirasse, até que o destruiu, de acordo com a palavra do SENHOR, que ele falou por meio de seu servo Aías, o silonita;

30por causa dos pecados de Jeroboão, que ele cometeu, e com os quais fez Israel pecar, por causa da sua provocação com a qual provocou à ira o SENHOR, o Deus de Israel.

31Ora, o restante dos atos de Nadabe, e tudo o que ele fez, não estão escritos no livro das crônicas dos reis de Israel?

32Houve guerra entre Asa e Baasa, rei de Israel, todos os seus dias.

33No terceiro ano de Asa, rei de Judá, Baasa, filho de Aías, começou a reinar sobre todo o Israel em Tirza, por vinte e quatro anos.

34Ele fez o que era mau aos olhos do SENHOR, e andou no caminho de Jeroboão, e no seu pecado com o qual fez Israel pecar.

1Now in the eighteenth year of King Jeroboam the son of Nebat, Abijam began to reign over Judah.

2He reigned three years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Maacah the daughter of Abishalom.

3He walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him; and his heart was not perfect with Yahweh his God, as the heart of David his father.

4Nevertheless for David’s sake, Yahweh his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him and to establish Jerusalem;

5because David did that which was right in Yahweh’s eyes, and didn’t turn away from anything that he commanded him all the days of his life, except only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.

6Now there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the days of his life.

7The rest of the acts of Abijam, and all that he did, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? There was war between Abijam and Jeroboam.

8Abijam slept with his fathers, and they buried him in David’s city; and Asa his son reigned in his place.

9In the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Asa began to reign over Judah.

10He reigned forty-one years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Maacah the daughter of Abishalom.

11Asa did that which was right in Yahweh’s eyes, as David his father did.

12He put away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.

13He also removed Maacah his mother from being queen, because she had made an abominable image for an Asherah. Asa cut down her image and burned it at the brook Kidron.

14But the high places were not taken away. Nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect with Yahweh all his days.

15He brought into Yahweh’s house the things that his father had dedicated, and the things that he himself had dedicated: silver, gold, and utensils.

16There was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.

17Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he might not allow anyone to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.

18Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that was left in the treasures of Yahweh’s house, and the treasures of the king’s house, and delivered it into the hand of his servants. Then King Asa sent them to Ben Hadad, the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, who lived at Damascus, saying,

19“Let there be a treaty between me and you, like that between my father and your father. Behold, I have sent to you a present of silver and gold. Go, break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.”

20Ben Hadad listened to King Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel, and struck Ijon, and Dan, and Abel Beth Maacah, and all Chinneroth, with all the land of Naphtali.

21When Baasha heard of it, he stopped building Ramah, and lived in Tirzah.

22Then King Asa made a proclamation to all Judah. No one was exempted. They carried away the stones of Ramah, and its timber, with which Baasha had built; and King Asa used it to build Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah.

23Now the rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities which he built, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? But in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet.

24Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in his father David’s city; and Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his place.

25Nadab the son of Jeroboam began to reign over Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah; and he reigned over Israel two years.

26He did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin with which he made Israel to sin.

27Baasha the son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him; and Baasha struck him at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines; for Nadab and all Israel were besieging Gibbethon.

28Even in the third year of Asa king of Judah, Baasha killed him and reigned in his place.

29As soon as he was king, he struck all the house of Jeroboam. He didn’t leave to Jeroboam any who breathed, until he had destroyed him, according to the saying of Yahweh, which he spoke by his servant Ahijah the Shilonite;

30for the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned, and with which he made Israel to sin, because of his provocation with which he provoked Yahweh, the God of Israel, to anger.

31Now the rest of the acts of Nadab, and all that he did, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

32There was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.

33In the third year of Asa king of Judah, Baasha the son of Ahijah began to reign over all Israel in Tirzah for twenty-four years.

34He did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, and walked in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin with which he made Israel to sin.
