1 Crônicas 12— comparação

1Ora, estes são os que vieram a Davi em Ziclague, enquanto ele era fugitivo de Saul, filho de Quis. Eles estavam entre os valentes, seus ajudantes na guerra.

2Eles eram armados com arcos, e sabiam usar tanto a mão direita quanto a esquerda para atirar pedras com fundas e disparar flechas com o arco. Eram dos parentes de Saul, da tribo de Benjamim.

3O chefe era Aiezer, depois Joás, filhos de Semaá, o gibeatita; Jeziel e Pelete, filhos de Azmavete; Beraca; Jeú, o anatotita;

4Ismaías, o gibeonita, um valente entre os trinta e líder dos trinta; Jeremias; Jaaziel; Joanã; Jozabade, o gederatita;

5Eluzai; Jerimote; Bealias; Semarias; Sefatias, o harufita;

6Elcana, Issias, Azarel, Joezer e Jasobeão, os coraítas;

7e Joela e Zebadias, filhos de Jeroão, de Gedor.

8Alguns gaditas se juntaram a Davi na fortaleza no deserto, homens valentes, homens treinados para a guerra, que sabiam manusear escudo e lança; cujos rostos eram como rostos de leões, e eram tão velozes quanto as gazelas sobre os montes:

9Ezer, o chefe, Obadias, o segundo, Eliabe, o terceiro,

10Mismana, o quarto, Jeremias, o quinto,

11Atai, o sexto, Eliel, o sétimo,

12Joanã, o oitavo, Elzabade, o nono,

13Jeremias, o décimo, e Macbanai, o décimo primeiro.

14Estes, dos filhos de Gade, eram capitães do exército. Aquele que era o menor equivalia a cem, e o maior a mil.

15Estes são os que atravessaram o Jordão no primeiro mês, quando ele havia transbordado todas as suas margens; e puseram em fuga todos os que viviam nos vales, tanto para o leste quanto para o oeste.

16Alguns dos filhos de Benjamim e de Judá vieram à fortaleza até Davi.

17Davi saiu ao encontro deles, e lhes respondeu: “Se vocês vieram a mim pacificamente para me ajudar, meu coração estará unido a vocês; mas se vieram para me trair aos meus adversários, visto que não há injustiça em minhas mãos, que o Deus de nossos pais veja isso e o repreenda.”

18Então o Espírito veio sobre Amasai, que era o chefe dos trinta, e ele disse: “Nós somos seus, Davi, e estamos do seu lado, filho de Jessé. Paz, paz seja com você, e paz seja com os seus ajudantes; pois o seu Deus o ajuda.” Então Davi os recebeu e os fez capitães da tropa.

19Alguns de Manassés também se juntaram a Davi quando ele veio com os filisteus contra Saul para a batalha, mas eles não os ajudaram, pois os senhores dos filisteus o mandaram embora após consulta, dizendo: “Ele desertará para o seu senhor Saul, colocando em risco as nossas cabeças.”

20Enquanto ele ia para Ziclague, alguns de Manassés se juntaram a ele: Adna, Jozabade, Jediael, Micael, Jozabade, Eliú e Ziletai, capitães de milhares que eram de Manassés.

21Eles ajudaram Davi contra o bando de saqueadores, pois todos eles eram homens valentes e foram capitães no exército.

22Pois dia após dia homens vinham a Davi para ajudá-lo, até que se formou um grande exército, como o exército de Deus.

23Estes são os números dos chefes dos que estavam armados para a guerra, que vieram a Davi em Hebrom para transferir o reino de Saul para ele, de acordo com a palavra do SENHOR.

24Os filhos de Judá que portavam escudo e lança eram seis mil e oitocentos, armados para a guerra.

25Dos filhos de Simeão, homens valentes para a guerra: sete mil e cem.

26Dos filhos de Levi: quatro mil e seiscentos.

27Joiada era o líder da casa de Arão; e com ele estavam três mil e setecentos,

28e Zadoque, um jovem valente, e da casa de seu pai vinte e dois capitães.

29Dos filhos de Benjamim, parentes de Saul: três mil, pois até então, a maior parte deles havia mantido sua lealdade à casa de Saul.

30Dos filhos de Efraim: vinte mil e oitocentos, homens valentes, homens famosos nas casas de seus pais.

31Da meia tribo de Manassés: dezoito mil, que foram designados por nome, para vir e fazer Davi rei.

32Dos filhos de Issacar, homens que tinham entendimento dos tempos, para saber o que Israel devia fazer, seus chefes eram duzentos; e todos os seus irmãos estavam sob o seu comando.

33De Zebulom, os que podiam sair no exército, que sabiam organizar a batalha com todos os tipos de instrumentos de guerra: cinquenta mil que podiam comandar e não tinham coração dividido.

34De Naftali: mil capitães, e com eles com escudo e lança trinta e sete mil.

35Dos danitas que sabiam organizar a batalha: vinte e oito mil e seiscentos.

36De Aser, os que podiam sair no exército, que sabiam organizar a batalha: quarenta mil.

37Do outro lado do Jordão, dos rubenitas, dos gaditas e da meia tribo de Manassés, com todos os tipos de instrumentos de guerra para a batalha: cento e vinte mil.

38Todos estes eram homens de guerra que sabiam ordenar a formação de batalha, e vieram com um coração perfeito a Hebrom para fazer Davi rei sobre todo o Israel; e todo o restante de Israel também estava de um só coração para fazer Davi rei.

39Eles estiveram ali com Davi três dias, comendo e bebendo; pois seus irmãos haviam fornecido provisões para eles.

40Além disso, os que estavam perto deles, até Issacar, Zebulom e Naftali, trouxeram pão sobre jumentos, sobre camelos, sobre mulas e sobre bois: provisões de farinha, pastas de figos, cachos de passas, vinho, azeite, gado e ovelhas em abundância; pois havia alegria em Israel.

2They were armed with bows, and could use both the right hand and the left in slinging stones and in shooting arrows from the bow. They were of Saul’s relatives of the tribe of Benjamin.

5Eluzai; Jerimoth; Bealiah; Shemariah; Shephatiah the Haruphite;

6Elkanah, Isshiah, Azarel, Joezer, and Jashobeam, the Korahites;

7and Joelah and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham of Gedor.

8Some Gadites joined David in the stronghold in the wilderness, mighty men of valor, men trained for war, who could handle shield and spear; whose faces were like the faces of lions, and they were as swift as the gazelles on the mountains:

9Ezer the chief, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,

10Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,

11Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,

12Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,

13Jeremiah the tenth, and Machbannai the eleventh.

14These of the sons of Gad were captains of the army. He who was least was equal to one hundred, and the greatest to one thousand.

15These are those who went over the Jordan in the first month, when it had overflowed all its banks; and they put to flight all who lived in the valleys, both toward the east and toward the west.

16Some of the children of Benjamin and Judah came to the stronghold to David.

17David went out to meet them, and answered them, “If you have come peaceably to me to help me, my heart will be united with you; but if you have come to betray me to my adversaries, since there is no wrong in my hands, may the God of our fathers see this and rebuke it.”

18Then the Spirit came on Amasai, who was chief of the thirty, and he said, “We are yours, David, and on your side, you son of Jesse. Peace, peace be to you, and peace be to your helpers; for your God helps you.” Then David received them and made them captains of the band.

19Some of Manasseh also joined David when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle, but they didn’t help them, for the lords of the Philistines sent him away after consultation, saying, “He will desert to his master Saul to the jeopardy of our heads.”

20As he went to Ziklag, some from Manasseh joined him: Adnah, Jozabad, Jediael, Michael, Jozabad, Elihu, and Zillethai, captains of thousands who were of Manasseh.

21They helped David against the band of raiders, for they were all mighty men of valor and were captains in the army.

22For from day to day men came to David to help him, until there was a great army, like God’s army.

23These are the numbers of the heads of those who were armed for war, who came to David to Hebron to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to Yahweh’s word.

24The children of Judah who bore shield and spear were six thousand eight hundred, armed for war.

25Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valor for the war: seven thousand one hundred.

26Of the children of Levi: four thousand six hundred.

27Jehoiada was the leader of the household of Aaron; and with him were three thousand seven hundred,

28and Zadok, a young man mighty of valor, and of his father’s house twenty-two captains.

29Of the children of Benjamin, Saul’s relatives: three thousand, for until then, the greatest part of them had kept their allegiance to Saul’s house.

30Of the children of Ephraim: twenty thousand eight hundred, mighty men of valor, famous men in their fathers’ houses.

31Of the half-tribe of Manasseh: eighteen thousand, who were mentioned by name, to come and make David king.

32Of the children of Issachar, men who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, their heads were two hundred; and all their brothers were at their command.

33Of Zebulun, such as were able to go out in the army, who could set the battle in array with all kinds of instruments of war: fifty thousand who could command and were not of double heart.

34Of Naphtali: one thousand captains, and with them with shield and spear thirty-seven thousand.

35Of the Danites who could set the battle in array: twenty-eight thousand six hundred.

36Of Asher, such as were able to go out in the army, who could set the battle in array: forty thousand.

37On the other side of the Jordan, of the Reubenites, the Gadites, and of the half-tribe of Manasseh, with all kinds of instruments of war for the battle: one hundred twenty thousand.

38All these were men of war who could order the battle array, and came with a perfect heart to Hebron to make David king over all Israel; and all the rest also of Israel were of one heart to make David king.

39They were there with David three days, eating and drinking; for their brothers had supplied provisions for them.

40Moreover those who were near to them, as far as Issachar, Zebulun, and Naphtali, brought bread on donkeys, on camels, on mules, and on oxen: supplies of flour, cakes of figs, clusters of raisins, wine, oil, cattle, and sheep in abundance; for there was joy in Israel.
